Answers to your questions

We understand you probably have some questions about the project so we’ve tried to answer them below.

How long will the work last for?

We anticipate all work on site to be completed by the end of October 2018.

Will there be lots of traffic?

Contractors are expected to be on site before peak-hour traffic to minimise any impact on commuters. There will be a number of deliveries on w/c 16th April, whilst the contractor establishes at the site. Throughout the contract, it is intended that deliveries will be limited to two to three per week.

Will the work create dirt and dust?

We do not anticipate creating any dust or dirt that will affect the residents of Beacon Lane or Camberley Crescent. Delivery vehicles will remain on the tarmac road, while delivering to site. The road will be checked after each delivery.

Will the work be noisy?

Whilst construction work, by definition, will involve heavy plant and machinery, our principal contractor and its subcontractors will eliminate, reduce, isolate or control noise levels wherever possible, minimising disruption for our neighbours.

Will my water supply be interrupted?

Please note there will be no disruption to your water supply as a result of these works.

Will the biodiversity of the site be affected?

South Staffs Water and Stonbury are working closely with their appointed ecological specialist and liaising with Birmingham and Black Country Wildlife Trust throughout the project to mitigate any impact resulting from these works.

The project is being undertaken and managed by specialist contractor to the water industry, Stonbury. A dedicated community liaison officer has been appointed to the project to manage any enquiries.
